When the space is too crowded for a floor mounted portable air conditioner, the KwiKool KCA Above-Ceiling Mounted Series should be considered. The KCA models are self contained complete air conditioning systems that are mounted above the ceiling. The unit comes with three flanges. Two of these flanges must be ducted into the space being cooled, the cold air supply and return. The hot air exhaust can also be ducted for heat removal. However, the condenser intake cannot be ducted.
These models must be installed by a qualified technician and require a lift to raise the unit to the ceiling. The installation technician must supply the 24-volt controller and the ducting into the space that is being cooled.
